She completed a clinical infectious diseases fellowship in the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) fellowship program. She is board-certified in general pediatrics, internal medicine, and infectious diseases. Dr. Han joined the NIAID Laboratory of Infectious Diseases (LID) Clinical Studies Unit first as a fellow and then as a staff clinician. Her research included influenza challenge in healthy volunteers and evaluating respiratory virus immunity after infection and vaccination.
Dr. Han joined the Clinical Center Hospital Epidemiology Service in 2023 leading a team of infection control consultants, an infectious diseases/antimicrobial stewardship pharmacist, and a program specialist.
She also collaborates with colleagues from NIAID and Children’s National Hospital in evaluating norovirus-specific T cells in patients with chronic norovirus infection.
