This site is maintained by the U.S. Government. It is protected by various provisions of Title 18, U.S. Code. Violations of Title 18 are subject to criminal prosecution in federal court.

The NIH Clinical Center is committed to protecting your privacy. We value the trust and confidence you place in us.

For the Healthcare via Electronic and Acoustic Records app, it is possible that resulting models do share results and may be shared via the HEAR platform in the future. You will have no direct benefit from this research study.

Although every reasonable effort has been made to protect privacy, confidentiality during internet communication procedures cannot be guaranteed and it is possible that additional information beyond that collected for research purposes may be captured and used by others not associated with this study.

While using the app, information about you, including personal health information and approximate location, will be collected, and transmitted to the researchers and may also be shared with people outside of the research study.


NIHCC "Take Me There" Privacy Notice

The NIH Clinical Center is committed to protecting your privacy. We value the trust and confidence you place in us.

The Clinical Center Take Me There is a government application. The agency’s Privacy Policy applies and is located at http://www.nih.gov/about/privacy.htm. Our application does not collect any personally identifiable information about you unless you choose to provide it to us. We do, however, collect some data about your navigation routes to help us better understand how the public uses the app and how to make it more helpful. We collect information from visitors who use, search and navigate to certain areas in Building 10. NIH never collects information for commercial marketing or any purpose unrelated to the NIH mission and goals.

Information Collected through Your Device

When you download, access, or use the App, the App may (depending on your device or App permission settings) have access to certain information from your device, such as:

  • Location: The App may collect precise or approximate location of your device, which can be determined by your Bluetooth connection or cell towers. We may use location data in order to locate the nearest medical center to you, verify your location or sending emergency assistance under certain circumstances.
  • Device Information: The App may collect information about your mobile device and Internet connection, including the model of device used and its operating system, and the version of our mobile app used. We may use this information to understand how our App performs when you use it.
  • Device ID: The App may use your device identifier (including your device’s advertising identifier) to provide you a better experience. We use your device ID to recognize your mobile device.

NIH "Clinical Center Treasure Tour" Privacy Notice

The NIH Clinical Center is committed to protecting your privacy. We value the trust and confidence you place in us.

The Clinical Center Treasure Tour is a government application. The agency’s Privacy Policy applies and is located at http://www.nih.gov/about/privacy.htm. Our application does not collect any personal information from users. The application uses Unity’s Player Preferences to store information about game play such as the player's avatar, which Clinical Center locations have been visited, which game achievements were earned, etc. Our application does not access your web history, your contacts or call history, your camera or microphone, or your stored files and media unrelated to game play. The application does not contain any ads, in-app purchases or social network integration.
