Ms. Agharahimi graduated with an MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner in December 2002 from the University of Florida. She worked in Family Practice for four years at the UF College of Medicine outpatient clinic prior to moving to the DC area. She has been with NIAID as the sole NP in the Primary Immune Deficiency clinic since January 2011. She is an AI on NIAID protocols that evaluate patients suspected of or with known genetic immune deficiencies, such as PIK3CD, CTLA4, LRBA, RAG1, MAGT1, XLA, and general CVID among others. The goal of the NIAID PID clinic is to provide an expert referral center for clinicians worldwide and at NIH, who have complex patients with known or suspected primary immune deficiency diseases, with a focus on diagnosis and recommendations for management and improvement of care. PID clinic director is Dr. Alexandra Freeman.

Triscia completed her Physician Assistant Studies at the Weill Cornell Medical College and she has a Master’s in Clinical Investigation Studies from the University of Utah. Her career started in abdominal organ transplantation during which she completed a one year Transplant Hepatology Fellowship at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, and her clinical experience spans 20 years.

She has a strong interest in patient safety initiatives, quality metrics and improving health care delivery while maximizing clinician efficiency. This led her to complete a Patient Safety Fellowship through the Armstrong Institute at Johns Hopkins Medicine prior to joining NIH.

She joined NHLBI’s Sickle Cell Branch in 2020 where she helped manage patients pre- and post-allogenic and autologous stem cell transplant. In October 2022, she transitioned to NIAID as a Study Coordinator where she helps to manage patients on natural history and Phase 1/2 protocols.

Donna Hrones obtained her master’s degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She is a senior level Nurse Practitioner with experience in the management and treatment of high acuity and medical oncology patients. She specializes in early-phase clinical trials within immunology and gastrointestinal malignancies including liver cancer, biliary tract cancer, colorectal cancer and pancreatic cancer. Donna supports the mission of the GI team research through 1) patient screening processes and 2) medical management of clinical trial patients.
