Unlocking the Power of MRI: NIH Research Study Calls for Healthy Female Volunteers Ages 6–18 in Brain Imaging Study

Exciting Opportunity at NIMH

A study at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) is seeking healthy females aged 6-18 for a brain imaging study. Using MRI, researchers aim to learn about brain anatomy and function, while advancing the understanding of behavior and mental health in children and young adults.

Let's unravel the wonders together! Join us on this journey of discovery! Receive $400 if you complete all parts of the study. If you live outside the DC region, we’ve got you covered- we provide travel and lodging for the volunteer and one accompanying parent. Minors are welcome with parental consent. Your involvement is crucial in advancing our understanding of the brain.

You may be eligible if:

  • you are a healthy female between ages 6-18
  • you do not have current or past psychiatric or neurological diagnoses
  • you do not have braces or other metal implants

Study Design:

  • have one visit that will last about 5-6 hours
  • have a physical exam and cognitive testing
  • have bloodwork and brain MRI scan
  • complete questionnaires
