The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) is conducting an outpatient research study on the links between compulsivity, impulsivity and the developing brain in children and young adults.
What the study involves:
- A visit, lasting 2 to 8 hours to the outpatient clinic at the NIH Clinical Center
- Brain scan (without radiation)
- Tests of learning and memory
- Blood draw or saliva sample for genetic tests
- Compensation and transportation assistance may be provided
Participants may qualify if:
- Between ages 6 and 30
- Medically Healthy
- Live in the DC, MD, VA region
The NIH Clinical Center, America's Research Hospital is located in Bethesda, MD on the Metro red line (Medical Center stop).
