Once again, the sounds of live music are soaring through the Clinical Center to benefit patients and staff. While several restrictions are currently in place for performers during the pandemic, such as no wind instruments or vocals, groups performing on strings and percussion are overjoyed to be playing in the atrium. A string quartet from the U.S. Air Force performed on Dec. 10 (seen below). In November, The University of Maryland Jazz Combo and the National Symphony Orchestra Ensembles performed inside the research hospital. Attendees have expressed gratitude for the live music and say they are happy it's back after a short hold on concerts during the summer months.
