Eczema is a stubborn skin problem that shows up as redness and intense itching. Eczema can affect people of all ages but it's more common in infants and young children. In addition, various triggers, such as irritants, allergens, and stress, can worsen eczema symptoms, increasing discomfort and flare-ups that affect their health and sleep. NIH doctors are looking for volunteers aged 3-21 for an Eczema study.

A research study at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) is looking for pregnant women with sickle cell disease between 18 and 45 years of age who are at risk of having an infant with sickle cell disease to donate their baby’s cord blood. Tests and procedures provided at no cost.
