A Study of Metabolism, Infection and Immunity

Researchers at the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) are seeking healthy children to participate in a research study to understand the immune system of patients with mitochondrial disease in comparison to their healthy peers.
Study Design:
- Specimen collection and blood draw
- Onsite participation. First visit will last 1 day
- Compensation for participation is provided
Your child may be eligible if he/she:
- They are between 2 and 17 years old (parents and guardians must give permission for minors to participate)
- Do not have severe allergies to eggs or latex products
- Do not have a current infection or under the care of a medical provider for ongoing medical issues
