Dr. James Gilman, Clinical Center CEO congratulated staff Jan. 9, 2018, for their dedication to the 2017 Combined Federal Campaign and contributing over $100,000 to NIH's contributions.

In his first town hall meeting of 2018, Dr. James Gilman, Clinical Center CEO, recognized 70 staff members with length of service awards to honor the time that they have spent working in the federal government (ranging from 5 to 35 years-of-service). Staff can view the award recipients online (NIH only).

Gilman also provided a thoughtful discussion of the shortcomings and successes of 2017. He devoted significant time to explaining the insights learned from the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS) and the resulting action steps for 2018 including training front-line staff for improvements on pay, recruitment, promotions, and performance management. The FEVS is conducted annually and measures employees' perceptions of whether, and to what extent, conditions characteristic of successful organizations are present in their agencies. Over 1,000 staff completed the survey. For more details, staff may visit the FEVS page on the CC intranet (NIH only).
