Tours will foster a greater sense of community and engagement

A lot goes into operations at the largest clinical research hospital in the world. Everyone has an important role to play. Staff, you may know your own area of expertise, but have you ever wondered about work being done in other departments and clinical areas?
In response to employee feedback, the NIH Clinical Center Office of Communications and Media Relations is excited to offer the opportunity for staff to tour departments and clinical areas in the hospital. The program goal is to foster a greater sense of community and engagement.
The inaugural tour took place Sept. 11, 2018, in the Nutrition Department. Attendee Jennifer Hephner, an informatics nurse consultant with the Department of Clinical Research Informatics said, "Thank you so much for taking the time to present the internal workings of the Nutrition Department during the tour. I really enjoyed the presentation and the tour immensely! I have often wondered how it is managed with so many needs and constant changes in meals each and every day. Wow, very impressive!"
