Dr. Ritu Shah serves as a staff clinician at the NIH Clinical Center in the Neuroradiology section of the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences since 2018.

Dr. Shah earned her medical degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India, and completed residency training in Radiology at the same institution, in 2002. She then completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology and fellowship in Neuroradiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2007.

She is board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology and holds a certificate of advanced qualification in Neuroradiology from the American Board of Radiology.

Dr. Shah received her first faculty appointment at UAB and has subsequently held staff positions at the Hines VA Medical Center, Maywood, IL; and at the University of South Florida, Tampa, FL.

Her clinical research and research interests are in imaging of brain tumors, and she has supported collaborative research projects utilizing Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance. She has provided her imaging expertise to several clinical oncology and subspecialty services providing clinical consultations and supported patient care rounds at her previous institutions.
