Dr. Nisha Patel is a Staff Hematopathologist in the Department of Laboratory Medicine at the NIH Clinical Center. She specializes in the diagnostic evaluation of blood and bone marrow disorders.

Dr. Patel graduated medical school from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed her residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York. Dr. Patel subsequently completed a fellowship in Hematopathology at the Cleveland Clinic and joined the National Institutes of Health in August 2019.

She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Hematopathology by the American Board of Pathology.
