Dr. Yang received her medical degree (BMED) in clinical medicine from Central South University, MS in epidemiology and biostatistics and PhD in Statistical Science from George Mason University.

Dr. Yang has been working as the lead statistician in multiple research projects with expertise in designing and performing data analysis for longitudinal, cross sectional, and randomized clinical trial studies including but not limited to general linear regression, logistical regression, analysis of frequency distributions, determining confidence limits, analysis of variance, analysis of covariance, mixed modeling, reliability assessment, power analysis, and sample size estimation. Dr. Yang also advises study hypotheses formulation, research design, statistical methods selection, and results interpretation on multiple collaborative research projects within TBHD and across the NIH Intramural Research program.

Dr. Yang’s dissertation topic and research interests include adaptive randomization and precision medicine.
