Dr. Christina Yek is a Staff Clinician and Associate Research Physician in the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the Critical Care Medicine Department at the NIH Clinical Center.

Dr. Yek is currently serving as the NIAID representative to U.S. Embassy Phnom Penh. She runs the International Center of Excellence in Research (ICER) Cambodia, where she coordinates and conducts clinical studies focusing on endemic and emerging infectious diseases including dengue, chikungunya, melioidosis, and zoonotic diseases.
Dr. Yek earned her medical degree at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. She completed postgraduate research at the University of California San Diego, Internal Medicine residency and chief residency at the University of Texas Southwestern, and Infectious Diseases and Critical Care Medicine fellowships at the National Institutes of Health.
Her primary research interest is the clinical and molecular epidemiology of emerging infections.
