Dr. Evrim B. Turkbey's research focuses on image quantification for better characterization subclinical findings of cardiovascular diseases and for detection of cancer with hybrid imaging modalities.

MD, Gazi University, Ankara, Turkey

Dr. Turkbey obtained her medical degree from Gazi University in Ankara, Turkey in 2000. She completed her diagnostic radiology residency at the Department of Radiology, Hacettepe University, in 2007.

She has worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Johns Hopkins University and National Institutes of Health.

She completed her nuclear medicine residency at the Johns Hopkins University in 2016. She then completed fellowship training in PET/CT at Johns Hopkins University and a second year of fellowship training in abdominal imaging at University of Maryland Medical Center.

She joined the Radiology and Imaging Sciences Department at the NIH Clinical Center in 2018.
