Sara Chandros Hull, PhD, is Deputy Scientific Director of the National Human Genome Institute (NHGRI), National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA. Dr. Hull, who has worked at NIH since 1999, also holds joint appointments with the NHGRI Bioethics Core and NIH Department of Bioethics, where her service, research, and capacity building interests focus on the intersections between research ethics and genomic research. Dr. Hull recently completed a detail with the NIH Tribal Health Research Office External Link Icon and continues to collaborate on the development of policies, guidance, and training initiatives to enhance the ethical conduct of Tribal research.

Dr. Hull received a BA in biology from Brandeis University (1993) and a PhD in Health Policy and Management from the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health (1999). During her graduate studies, Dr. Hull also worked on the staff of President Clinton's Advisory Committee on Human Radiation Experiments (1994-1995).
