Xiaobai Li, PhD
Dr. Xiaobai Li joined the NIH Clinical Center in 2016. She received her BS degree in Probability and Mathematical Statistics from Beijing Normal University, followed by a PhD degree in Statistics from the Ohio State University. She worked as a research scientist at the Center for Biostatistics at the Ohio State University and then as a principal statistician at Astrazeneca MedImmune. She has over 10 years of experience in biostatistics through collaboration with a broad range of biomedical investigators on grant proposal writing, laboratory and clinical study design, and statistical analysis. Her areas of expertise include complex modelling for biologic processes (mixed models of repeated measures, hidden Markov models), strategies for multiple hypothesis testing, and early phase I/II clinical trials design. Her current research focuses on Bayesian Go-No Go methods to monitor early phase trials, modelling repeated measures with small sample size, and biomarker identification methods.
