The NIH Blood Bank and Donor Center at Fishers Lane in Rockville, MD is in need of local members of the community to donate a special type of blood donation called platelet donation.
There is currently a large need for platelet donors to support our NIH Clinical Center patients. The Clinical Center is the largest research hospital in America, located in Bethesda, MD. Patients are often turning to the hospital, nicknamed the House of Hope, when they've exhausted all that modern medicine can offer. Read how blood donors helped a little girl from Chicago.
